§ 9-07. Street lights.

  • Street lights to provide a suitable illumination level shall be provided within every subdivision. Street lights on residential street shall be spaced approximately one hundred fifty (150) feet apart or as approved by the director. Street lights on collector or arterial streets shall be spaced to provide uniform brightness consistent with street widths and usage, at a level of illumination as approved by the director.

    All street lights shall be installed by the supplying utility company upon request of the city. The developer shall pay all installation costs relative to the installation of such lights, in keeping with the agreement between the city and the utility company and shall compensate the city for one (1) year's operating cost of such lights.
