ORDINANCE NO. 3421-86 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AND REORDAINING APPENDIX B—SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS, OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT NEWS, VIRGINIA. WHEREAS, Title 15.1 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, requires that the city shall adopt an ordinance to assure the orderly subdivision of land and its development; and WHEREAS, revised subdivision regulations have been considered by the Planning Commission of the City of Newport News for recommendation, the regulations have been advertised as required by law, and the said Planning Commission has made its recommendation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Newport News that Appendix B—Subdivision Regulations, of the Code of the City of Newport News, Virginia, be, and the same hereby is amended and reordained to read as follows: Footnotes: --- (1) ---

Obviously misspelled words have been corrected without comment. Section 2 of Ord. No. 3111-83, adopted Dec. 12, 1983, reads as follows: "That until such time as Appendix A, Zoning Ordinance, Appendix B, Subdivision Regulations, and Appendix C, Site Plan Ordinance are amended by deleting therefrom all references to `Director of Public Works,' `Department of Public Works,' `Division of Engineering' and `Public Works Office,' and substituting therefore [therefor] `Director of Engineering' for `Director of Public Works' and `Department of Engineering' for the remaining aforementioned designations, and for the purposes of administering the aforementioned appendices in an orderly and efficient manner during this transition period, the Director of Engineering is hereby appointed as and shall act in the stead of the Director of Public Works for the said purposes of administering the aforementioned appendices only."
