§ 33.01-34. Amendment.

No amendment to any provision of this chapter shall be enacted by the city council unless and until such amendment shall have been studied by the planning commission and the planning commission's recommendation shall have been received by the city council. The planning commission shall, however, make its recommendation within sixty (60) days after the date of referral to the commission. The planning commission shall hold a public hearing after notice published in accordance with Title 15.2 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended.
