§ 22-6. Director's annual report.

  • At the end of each fiscal year, the director, with the assistance of the library board, shall submit to the city manager or his designee an annual report reflecting the financial condition of the Newport News Public Library System, including the various sums of money received and the sources thereof and the amount of funds expended during the year, and for what purposes. The annual report shall also reflect the number of books and periodicals on hand, the number added during the year, the number of books lost or missing, the number of books loaned during the year, the number of fixtures added and any other physical improvements, together with the cost thereof, and such other statistical and informational data as may be requested by the city manager or deemed necessary or desirable by the director.
