§ 21.1-9. Confidentiality.

  • It shall be unlawful for any officer, employee or member of the commission to make public, prior to a public hearing pursuant to section 21.1-6, investigative notes and other correspondence and information furnished to the commission in confidence with respect to an investigation or conciliation process involving an alleged unlawful discriminatory practice; however, nothing in this section shall prohibit the distribution of information taken from inactive reports in a form which does not reveal the identity of the parties involved or other persons supplying information. A violation of this section shall be a Class 3 misdemeanor.
