§ 27.11. Preliminary meeting of the council elect to choose a city manager and for other purposes.

  • At any time following the ascertainment of the result of the first election of councilmen for this city, such councilmen-elect are directed and authorized to meet at such places they may select and at such times as they may deem necessary for the purposes of considering the appointment of a city manager, the preparation of ordinances, appointments which are required of them, and all such other matters as may be necessary to effectuate the transition resulting from the consolidation of the cities into this city. All expenses of the council-elect in complying with the above provisions shall be paid by this city upon vouchers signed by such members of the council-elect as they may designate.
