§ 27.06. Tax levies, funds and assessments.

All levies, both current and delinquent, and all school and other funds which may be held by the State to the credit of the cities of Newport News and Warwick shall become the property of this city. The tax levies, service charges and assessments made for the current or ensuing year or years by the aforesaid cities shall stand as levies and assessments of this city until superseded by levies and assessments made by this city.
